Bronze is hands down one of the best restaurants in DC and is such a huge addition to the H St neighborhood. Bronze has been open for about a month and I couldn’t have had a better experience. Bronze is a restaurant inspired by Afrofuturism that melds fantasy and gastronomy with the culture of the African Diaspora. Chef Toya Henry, Keem Hughley Al Thompson, Nadine Brown and Drummond Projects have created a three-level 5,300-square-foot restaurant for you to experience the imagined travels of Alonzo Bronze. The restaurant experience tells the 700-year-old story of Alonzo Bronze, who traveled freely around the globe, searching for new cultures to learn from and share with. Eventually, the people of Bronze with their mythic cranes settled on a lush and bountiful island in the modern-day Caribbean.
The ambiance, food and service were on point and we are so glad to have this restaurant in the neighborhood. The Grilled Poulet was one of the best pieces of chicken I have ever had at a restaurant. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes, cocktails, and desserts. You 100% need to book a reservation and go check it out! Bon appetite!
