However, if you want a Realtor® who is *always* on the ball, responds via text or phone no matter what the time of day, is on top of everything that's going on, is relentlessly cheerful even when things are going sideways and you're freaking out, answers all your questions patiently, puts up with TMI emails, visits prospective rentals and videos them so you can actually see what it's all about instead of just static pictures, covers your butt if the property isn't suitable, and is all-around professional and knowledgeable, go with Michael Sheridan. When we ran into problems, he immediately took care of the issues and went to bat for us. We knew he was "On our side" from day one. The fact that he's a delightful conversationalist and incredibly upbeat doesn't hurt either. After we moved in, he brought our lease all set up in a folder and then conducted a very thorough house inspection, catching little things (like tiny scuffs and such) that I wouldn't have seen in a million years. We set up our cross-country (Idaho to Virginia) house rental through him, and while moving and renting a new house is incredibly stressful, working with Michael made it easier. He's a first-rate Realtor® and when the time comes to actually buy a house here in the Nova or DC area, we definitely going with him. 500 stars but he gets five stars because that's what the rating system allows. Top-notch in every way. Full disclosure, I enjoyed his company so much that I'm arm-wrestling him into lunch under the auspices of "Showing me the area". I know this review sounds very gushy, but having dealt with indifferent, bored Realtors® before, Michael is a true breath of fresh air.
